Elsie Marjorie Edeen (Lofdahl) was born on July 17, 1930 to Oscar and Severina Lofdahl and passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025 at the age of 94. Along with her three sisters, she grew up in the North Star district and enjoyed school, ball games and time with family. Elsie married Erik Arthur Edeen in 1950 and welcomed their son Merlin in 1953. They farmed in the Kinistino district with cattle, pigs and chickens as well as grain. After Art’s untimely passing, her and Merlin moved the farmhouse into Kinistino where she resided for fifty years before moving into her final home at St. Brieux.
Music, crafting, curling and cards with friends and family occupied her time when not spent working on and off the farm. Elsie had an elegant way of carrying herself but always had time for exhibiting her sense of humour and enjoyed sharing a laugh and a joke.
Elsie was predeceased by her husband Art, parents Severina and Oscar Lofdahl, parents-in-law Viard and Maria Edeen, sisters Hazel Tieken, Violet Edeen and Joyce Kadachuk and infant brother Mervin, brothers-in-law Axel Edeen, Harry Kadachuk, Isadore Edeen, Lawrence Edeen and Floyd Edeen and sisters-in-law Ruth Nordin and Shirley Gronvold.
