It is with heavy hearts that the family of Leroy Dwight Hadland, announces his peaceful passing on July 9, 2025, with his family by his side.

Leroy was born on July 19, 1950, in Kinistino, Saskatchewan, to Rolf and Myrtle Hadland. He was raised on the family farm near Weldon, where he developed a strong work ethic and love for rural life. He attended elementary school in Weldon and high school in Birch Hills.

Leroy enjoyed playing hockey, baseball, and curling in his younger years. On September 2, 1972, he married the love of his life, Judy McKay. In 1975, they built a home on the family farm where they raised their three children. Eventually, Leroy and Judy moved to Kinistino, where he lived for the rest of his days.

Leroy was a dedicated worker throughout his life, holding many roles, including working on the railroad, farming, hauling gravel and fuel, grader operator, driving school bus, drywalling, and working for the Department of Highways. He brought a quiet strength and kindness to everything he did.

Above all, Leroy was a devoted husband, a proud father and cherished grandfather. He enjoyed camping, golfing, spending time with grandkids, and visiting with friends over a cup of coffee. His calm, patient nature and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him.

Leroy will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy; his children Stacey (Laura), Torey (Kim), and Jana (Mike); and his grandchildren Kai and Maia Hadland, Kaylee, Allie, and Kelsey Porter, and Kelsey Conant.
