I remember Joan often being our substitute teacher throughout high school at MUCC with fond memories. As an adult I appreciate her coming in and teaching a bunch of rowdy kids in a calm, yet assertive manner and she obviously had an impact on many lives. My condolences to Joan's family.

I was so sad to hear of Joan’s passing. She was in the same grade as me at MCCI. We ate lunch together in the study hall as we both brought our lunch to school. Joan and I shared an apartment in Calgary as we were both working there. She was a great friend and a great roommate. I send my heartfelt condolences to her family.

I too attended the one room Melinda School and later we carpooled to MCCI with the other Pleasant Valley highschoolers. Lots of memories. So sorry to hear of Joan's passing.
