A luminous light remains where a beautiful soul has passed!” I feel that Lucien’s life was what Christ said about being the light and salt for others.
My fondest memories are the most recent ones, his calm, peaceful and gentle nature and the warm welcome that he would give me whenever I was home from Uganda. He was the faithful husband of my dear sister Velma, an example of fidelity and love, of strength of character and resilience. I have difficulty believing he will no longer be there in their lovely home in St. Brieux. But those who go to be with God are close, since God is ever present and near.
Sister Emma Mudrik, Daughters of Providence, Nebbi, Uganda.

For nearly a century, my grandfather has been a shining example of what it means to live a life of purpose, kindness, and strength. For 96 years, he showed us what it truly means to be the best kind of human, kind, strong, and unwavering in his love for family and friends.
He was a man whose wisdom guided generations, whose laughter brightened countless days, and whose stories became the threads that weave our family together. Through every challenge and triumph, he stood as a pillar of strength and grace, teaching us that integrity and compassion are the greatest legacies one can leave behind.
Grandpa was more than a grandfather, he was a mentor, a friend, and a hero. He soared through the skies as a pilot and loved every moment of it. He found joy riding a combine through golden fields and embraced the adventure of traveling far and wide. His life was a testament to resilience, humility, and the power of a good heart. Ninety-six years of making the world better simply by being in it, that is something few can claim.
As we honor him, we thank him for every lesson, every smile, and every moment he shared. He is, and always will be, our true icon.
