Obituary
EDNA CLARKE (NEE JAMES) WAS BORN ON MAY 27, 1920 IN SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN. EDNA LATER MOVED TO THE MELFORT DISTRICT AND, FOLLOWING HER MARRIAGE TO TOM CLARKE, RESIDED ON THE CLARKE FAMILY FARM FOR 55 YEARS, BEFORE MOVING TO A CONDO IN MELFORT.
EDNA WAS A WONDERFUL MOTHER WITH A GREAT OUTLOOK ON LIFE. SHE WAS UNSELFISH AND MODELLED FOR HER FAMILY PATIENCE AND LOVE. SHE ENJOYED HER GARDEN (ESPECIALLY HER GLADIOLAS), HER INVOLVEMENT IN MELFORT VIEW HOMEMAKERS, HER UNITED CHURCH UCW AND SUNDAY SCHOOL ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS HER SOCIAL TIMES WITH MANY FRIENDS.
TOM AND EDNA FILLED MANY OF THEIR RETIREMENT YEARS WITH TRAVELLING INTERNATIONALLY AND SPENDING WINTERS IN ARIZONA.
EDNA LEAVES THREE DAUGHTERS TO CELEBRATE HER LIFE: MARGE (CHUCK) WESTHAFER OF NAPLES, FLORIDA; BRENDA (LARRY) GOODMAN OF MELFORT AND RUTH (ROB) BARDEN OF RED DEER, ALBERTA.
EDNA WAS A VERY SPECIAL GRANDMOTHER TO TODD (STEPHANIE) SCHWARTZ, CARLA PUSCH, LISA (ROBB) MISSKEY, ANGELA (KEVIN) CARSCADDEN, KELSEY (MATT) MOORE AND DIANNE (MATIAS) de FERRARI. SHE ALSO DEARLY LOVED HER NINE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
EDNA WAS PREDECEASED BY HER HUSBAND TOM, GRANDSON RYAN GOODMAN AND GRANDDAUGHTER LANA GOODMAN.
