Jack was born September 3, 1924 on his family farm near Wakaw Saskatchewan.
He attended school near there at the Lone Pine school until the 8th grade. His favorite thing to do as a young man on the farm was to go out with his .22 and hunt. He could tell the best stories about his youth on the farm, his horses, working on the thrashing crews, chasing pigs and countless more. He lived and worked on the farm until he met and married the love of his life on October 4, 1952. They were blessed to have 68 years together. They made their first home in Prince Albert where their 3 girls were born. Dad worked as a plumber in the earlier years while they lived in Nipawin and later in Melfort. Then in 1965 they moved to Kinistino where he built his career as the manager of the Kinistino Co-op lumber yard. They continued to live in Kinistino for the past 56 years where they raised their family watching it grow and treasuring the visits from the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Their house was always open to family and friends and welcoming them at a moment’s notice. Dad always maintained his love of farming was able to spend countless hours out on the Boyle farms and made great memories. In his retirement he loved his garden and flowers and sitting out on the deck in the mornings with his coffee and special visits from kids in the neighbourhood. As soon as he had the garden cleaned up in the fall he was already planning the next year’s planting.
Dad was well known for being a Jack of all trades, giving the best hugs, telling a good story and that twinkle in his eye. He radiated love, kindness and joy making everyone he met feel loved and important. Heaven just gained a beautiful angel. ♥
