Obituary
Marlene was born February 2 1943 to Bert and Mary Henning. Her and Eileen were the youngest of their 7 children. As twins her and Eileen were never far apart. Marlene was raised in Melfort where she met and fell in love with Carson Richardson. Marlene and Carson were married on September 25 1959. From this union 4 children were born. Carson and Marlene raised their kids on the family farm. Where hockey and horses were a big part of all their lives. There wasn’t a weekend in the winter that you couldn’t find them in a rink anywhere in the province, and the summer they took the family on the road chuckwagon racing. As their kids grew up and had their own families not much changed. You could still find Marlene cheering her kids and grandkids on from the stands no matter what they were doing. And when things got dicey she would still be there, it was just either from under the stands or with her eyes covered. But she kept cheering. Family was everything to Marlene. And there were many family gatherings at the farm. It didn’t matter when you stopped there the door was always open, you were always welcomed and the coffee was always on. And most times you could find Marlene at the table always up for a visit. Leaving to cherish many of these memories and more are her Husband Carson. Her sisters Ida, Phylis,Teenie, Eileen( Ralph). Her children Twila(Reg) Laine(Curtis)Sophie and Luke Megan(Tanner) Hayden and Marek;Todd( Tammy) Darian and Kennedy;Doug ( Lisa) Alysha( Jason) Asher and Ella,Bailee( Dustin) Jocelyn and Deegan,Cauy and Dylan;Jolene (Clint) Kain and Makaela. As well as numerous nieces ,nephews and friends Marlene was predeceased by her parents Bert and Mary Henning mother and father in-law Alf and Ella Richardson, her brothers Stub and Robert Henning and her granddaughter Becci Wilson. Memorial contributions in memory of Marlene may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society. A Family Service will be held.
