Violet Myrtle Grafslund passed away peacefully on Saturday April 16, 2016 at the age of 88. She was born to Eric and Eugenia Carlson the youngest of 5 children on June 29, 1927. Vi attended Lund school grade 1 to 8 then stayed home to help out at the farm. In 1945 Vi married her first husband Roy Anderson to this union 3 children were born Randy, Janet and Corrine. Tragically in 1955 Roy passed away leaving a deep void in her family. She managed to keep the farm going with the help of hired men and girls. In 1958 she married Gordon Grafslund and were blessed with 3 more children Lynn Robin and Cindy. They lived at Beatty for 14 years before moving to his farm at Brockington. Gordon and Violet continued to farm until they moved to Melfort in 1997. After Gordon passed away in 2010 Vi lived at home till Jan 2016 when she moved to Caskey place. Music played a big part of her life especially singing and playing the accordian. You could always find coffee and if you were really lucky maybe some palt. Vi enjoyed sewing, gardening, many kinds of crafts and, always ready to tackle any project that interested her. She was never afraid of a challenge. Family was most important to her as well as her faith. Vi is survived by her six children Randy (Evelyn) Anderson, Michael (Delany), Shawn (Andrea) Andrew, Madelyn, Sophia, Mathew; Janet (Leslie) Welch Brent (Sherri) Jesse, Jared; Jeff (Tara) Kiera, Kaelyn, Landon,Rylan; Tracy (Shawn); Karen. Corrine Bernard Charlene (Dave), Curtis (Melissa), Dustin (Laura), Dean (Kailey), Kamara, Asher. Lynn (Eldon) Pederson, Eric (Vanessa), Hudson, Andreas, Eli; Melissa (Tim); Shelly (Jake). Robin (Rita) Grafslund Todd, Cody, Shayla, Kelsey; Cindy (Doug) Porter, Kirk (Taylor), Jennifer (Tyrel). Vi was predeceased by both of her husbands. Her parents, and by all four siblings and their spouses.
