Obituary
Our Son, Steven Lloyd Taylor passed away tragically on Sept 12/2021 at the young age of 42. Steve as you all called him was born August 26/1979. He was named after a brother I (Becky) lost at birth and then his middle name was my Father’s. Sorry I have always had trouble shortening his name, so I will continue with Steven. Steven was a sportsman right from the very beginning, an energetic toddler and full of mischief. As a family we loved the lake and being in the boat. The kids did all kinds of water sports. Steven had his share of bumps and bruises that left huge impacts on his life but as he came back to the Lord and gave his life over to His control Steven started to overcome and his true calling from God on his life began to show. We knew Steven had a calling from God on his life as a teenager when he would try to be rebellious and just couldn’t have fun at it because it hurt his heart. Steven met the love of his life at a Ski hill in Alberta and they married in 2002. He loved Steph with all of his heart and never ever wavered in that. They have 4 beautiful children together, Triston 16, Brodie 14, Cassie 12, and Ollie 8. Steven came to the farm and joined the family business in Nov 2015, he worked outside in the shop for a couple years then moved into the office and into the sales part of the business and this is where we really saw him shine. Steven & his Brother-in-law Kevin had just joined together to take over the family business Sept 1. What an adventure this was going to be. We got to enjoy Steven’s company nearly every day for lunch, he owned the head position of the table. Wednesday as we gathered around the table to plan his celebration of life, his oldest son Triston layed claim to his spot! Steven was very much a family man, yes family is very important to all of us. But in saying that Steven always made time to visit and encourage anyone who needed someone to talk with. He loved on the hurting people of the world, he made time to take them for coffee, make them a meal or get them groceries and pray with them. We have been so overwhelmed with so many people coming forward to let us know how Steven had impacted their life. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everyone of these stories, we are learning more about his life that we did not know before and we will cherish these memories. As Steven’s parents we will strive to follow his example. To share more, to love more, and to be there whenever you need us and for whatever you need from us. Steph we love you and the children, our hearts break for you and the new life that you will have to navigate without Steven. We will walk with you and your family, we know that your faith in your Heavenly Father will carry you when the weight seems tough and unbearable.
