Dear Beth and family: I was saddened to hear about Peter’s death. He really was one of the good guys - one of the best. When I was living at home in Melfort, there was always a welcoming smile and friendly chat to be had at his shop and I was the lucky recipient of delicious fish at more than one fish fry in Waskesiu! I am sorry I did not get to learn how to fillet from him - I could definitely have used that wisdom…Being able to have great purpose in life and love of where you work, and to be able do so almost to the end of your life is a great gift, as is being able to share a proper farewell with our loved ones. Your loving tribute describes a life very well lived. I hope your celebration of life allowed those gathered to have a few good laughs mixed in with the tears.
