Sybil Dianne Jung, of Melfort, Saskatchewan, passed away on Saturday November 12th, 2022 at the age of 70. Sybil had a difficult battle with cancer and long-covid. She is finally at rest and no longer in pain. Sybil is survived by her husband Bill Jung; her children, Rob Jung(Lorri), Tammy Wuttunee, and Kristi Jung(Troy); grandchildren, Stephanie, Sierra(predeceased), Somer, Kaden, Brynn, Rielle, Halle, Degan and great grandson Everest; siblings, Dave Dobson and Candy Blair. Sybil was born on May 11th, 1952, to Dorothy and Jack Dobson in Melfort, Saskatchewan. Bill and Sybil met when they were in highschool and the rest is history. She married Bill in 1972 on Bill’s birthday, March 11th, to make sure he would never forget their anniversary. Sybil’s family and friends remember her as a stubborn, outspoken woman who loved with her whole heart. Sybil loved going to the lake, playing cards and going for coffee with her girls. Most of all, she loved billeting for the Melfort Mustangs. Bill and Sybil started hosting billets in 1992 up until 2010. The hockey boys called her ‘Sybs’. They all considered her their second mom, as Sybs home was the place to be. The basement is full of pictures and memorabilia that attests to her love for the “boys”. A “Celebration of Life” for Sybs will be in the summer of 2023. The specific day has not been decided at this time. Remember to always say “I love you”.
