Obituary of John Hedley Moulton
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John (Jack) Hedley Moulton was born to Mary (Ashdown) and Hedley Moulton on December 5, 1934, their first and only son.
After a short illness, Jack went to be with his Lord and Saviour in the Melfort Union Hospital on March 14, 2023.
Jack took all his schooling at Stoney Creek. Like a typical boy, he loved sports.
In his teen years, before work took over, Jack was in the local Air Cadets.
He took a course in mechanics in Edmonton from the Chicago Vocational Training School in 1956 and arrived home in time for Christmas.
In January 1957, he went to work for Cowie Drilling at Didsbury, Sundre and Rocky Mountain House, Alberta doing seismic work. As is normal oil field work-the hours were long and hard.
Then he worked seven years for the R.M. of Willow Creek, building roads, dug-outs and piling trees.
He worked for Gordon Construction in Sask. crushing gravel until 1963 when he married Sandra Attrill.
Together, they lived on the family farm for the rest of his life.
Always a kind and thoughtful man, in June 1985, Jack accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.
In his retirement years, he very much enjoyed bowling with the Senior’s league.
Their daughter, Mary Ann was born in 1968 and son, Robert in 1971.
He has four grandsons, Colin (and Eunil) Saraka, and Graham (and Megan), Gavin and Harris Moulton.
He has one great granddaughter, Chloe Saraka, and great grandson Jack Robert Dean Moulton.
He is also survived by a sister, Ivy Moulton.
