Irma passed away on March 30, 2023 at the Strathmore Hospital.
Irma was born on June 19, 1941 at the homestead in Teddington, SK. She was the seventh of eight children and she was the only daughter.
Irma met and later married Harland Anderson. They were married on October 3, 1958 at the Carrot River Valley Lutheran Church. They had two children Ricardo born on November 13, 1961 and Tammy born on May 7, 1964.
Harland and Irma lived mainly in the Melfort area during their married life. When she was no longer able to be on her own, she set out to live with her daughter in Strathmore, AB in October 2022. Her life ended abruptly six months later after a courageous battle with cancer.
Irma is survived by son Rick and daughter Tammy, and a previous daughter, Connie of Harland’s. She also leaves behind grandchildren Janel, Joal, Rashell, Ryan, DeNeige and Alexine; and nine great grandchildren. Irma has two surviving brothers, Stanley (Joyce) and Arlie and sister-in-law Mary. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Irma was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Agatha Peters. Brothers Everand, George, Bill, Leroy and Crawford. Harland Anderson passed away March 16, 2004.
Irma was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Rick and Tam will be forever grateful for the love and commitment that she had for them. She had enormous courage and strength, and she fought many adversities with wisdom, grace and courage. She was the mainstay of the family…their lighthouse and beacon.
We love you Mom!
