Caroline was known as “The Hug Lady” by my children. She so willingly dispensed hugs to my children. I am certain that these were of benefit to herself along with my children. This touching and loving action was repaid one day when Caroline was working in our Melfort United Church kitchen with tears in her eyes. My son, Calvin, noticed this and immediately scurried over to her and said, “I think YOU need a hug!”; and he gave her a heart-felt and warm hug to her and for her.
