Lee-Ann, Ben and Emma, we send our heartfelt condolences at this incredibly sad time. I will never forget when we moved to Swift Current, we pulled across the road from our home, got out of the vehicle and realized there was a police car behind us. I wondered if I sped through a school zone or something, and there was Wayne grinning like crazy! He had already found our home and was just welcoming us to the city. We will remember him fondly and will pray floor strength for you and your families in the coming week
Hugs,
Mel and Gail Podhorodecki

Dear Lee-Ann, Emma, Benjamin and family.
Sincere condolences for your loss.
Wayne and I joined the RCMP at the same time. We traveled at a moments notice all over Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba for days or weeks at a time from home.
One night as we were paired up working and on overtime, Wayne mentioned how he would rather be at home enjoying a beautiful evening with Lee-Ann and their children rather than making overtime. Family was more important. Wayne always reminded members about sending flowers and cards on special occasions to family and friends.
At depot during training you realized just how intelligent Wayne was. He had a photographic memory and could identify all the questions that would be on an exam.
Wayne was as they say, was a "We" person not an "I" person. When it came to work you could always depend on him.
He will be dearly missed.

Lee-Ann and Family:
We are so sorry for your loss.
Trish and I fondly remember your Saskatoon days, and our times together with our babies.
I really enjoyed reconnecting with Wayne over the last couple of years, in our 'retirement jobs'. Including many hours together driving to Stony Rapids and back. Listening to Wayne's stories. Hearing the pride in his voice when he spoke of his family.
The world is a better place because of Wayne.

I first met Wayne back in the early 90's when we were both stationed in Nipawin. Wayne was in the early years of his career and I found him to be a very dedicated and conscientious young member with an infectious smile. My sincere condolences to Lee-Ann and your family on Wayne's untimely passing.

I am still in disbelief however I want you to know that you two lived your best lives together. It is beyond obvious how much you and Wayne are in love and nothing can take that away. I hope that his love, and well as the love from your kids and grandkids, are enough to hold you up. You are a strong person and I know that the memories you and Wayne have created will support you during this time.

Dear Lee-ann and family,
I was shocked to learn of Wayne's passing as I paused to remember the good times we had working at Government House in Regina as Commissionaires. First of, all I couldn't believe what I had read and I still find it hard to believe.
I knew Wayne when he was in the Force and we always had time for each other. He was so easy to talk to and hardly had a harsh word for anyone. After I retired in 2005, I met Wayne and Lee-ann one day at Govt House House. I also had the pleasure working their daughter, Emma, for a time. I noted right away, the genuine love he had for his family and we often spoke about our families and how much we cared for them.
Wayne was a very conscious worker and extremely courteous and polite with all the visited for far and wide. After he left Regina, they moved to the farm in Melfort to finally settle as it was his dream. I'm going to miss my friend, but the memories will never fail.
My sympathy and condolences to Lee-ann and family.

I first met Wayne when I was 13 years old; they had just moved to our small town, and I heard they had a daughter my age. From the moment I knocked on their door, they treated me like family.
One thing I'll always remember about Wayne is how he was always there for me. Wayne never hesitated. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and his willingness to lend a hand or offer advice made a lasting impact on me.
Wayne, your kindness and warmth touched everyone lucky enough to know you. We'll miss you deeply. Thank you for being an amazing dad to my best friend, and an unforgettable grandpa to her kids. Rest in peace, knowing your kindness lives on in all of us who had the privilege to know you.
