Obituary
Mary Christina Pavey (Teenie) was born on April 15th, 1929, in Melfort, Sk. She was the fourth child of seven born to Sydney (Bert) and Mary Henning. She lived on the family farm and attended Jones School.
Teenie met Lloyd (Bud) Pavey at a dance. They got engaged on January 12, 1950, after a lengthy engagement were married on July 23, 1958, at Queens Park church.
They lived on the Henning farm, where Teenie grew up until they moved to the Pavey family farm. Even after Bud passed away in 2001, Teenie remained living there for many years. With much family convincing she agreed to move to Melfort for the winter. But as soon as the snow was gone, she left town and straight back to the farm (to cut the grass). In 2017 with much more convincing she agreed to move to town permanently. She enjoyed her time at Legion Place until the summer of 2021, when she moved to the Carrot River Care Home, which is where she passed on January 12, 2022, with family at her side.
Teenie worked hard her whole life. She was a factor in working on the family farm, as well as working at the hospital as an X-ray and lab assistant, as well as in house keeping. She also had many passions in life, she loved to cut grass, her garden, canning and preserving fruit and veggies for who ever may need. She loved her family and spent countless hours on the road to watch nieces and nephews in activities, then that continued to her great nieces and nephews.
Teenie is predeceased by her husband Bud Pavey, parents Bert and Mary, mother and father in-law Frank and Rita, brothers Stub and Robert, sisters Marlene Richardson and Phylis MacGillivray, brothers in-law Duane Freed, Allan MacGillivray, Joe Mack and Ogie Pederson, sister in-law Myrtle Pederson, nieces and nephews Lynn, Quinton, Becci and Tanya.
Teenie is survived by her sisters Ida Freed and Eileen (Ralph) Nicholson and brother in-law Carson Richardson and sister in-law Francy Mack. Way too many nieces and nephews to count as it goes all the way to great, great, great nieces and nephews. As well as all the others who called her “Aunt Teenie”.
